Never buy an animal from a pet store
Even small animals like hamsters, rats and gerbils can be found in shelters and rescues.
Do not shop at stores that sell animals
Even if just purchasing supplies, any money spent in a store that sells animals supports animal abuse and neglect, reinforcing that their business model is appropriate and profitable.
Report abuse
If you see abuse or neglect happening in a pet store or if you know of an animal mill or backyard breeder operation, report it to a cruelty investigator.
